1) Welcome back Amore. We truly love and adore the new single VCR. How did the song first come about?
AMORE: Man it’s good to be back. Shout out to my homie Jeff Lefonqxe he produced the record & sent me the beat back in the spring. Once I heard it I knew it would be a hit, I just had to find the right person to compliment me on the song. I sent it out to a couple people first but I met Sydie out in Austin at SXSW back in March at a show. After hearing her sing live I was like man it’ll be dope if she could lay a chorus down for me. She was really busy working on her own project so after a couple months she finally sent the files over & the rest is history.
2) What was it like recording in the studio, do you have any favourite memories from how the song was made?
AMORE: I record at my house so after listening to the beat a thousand times lol one day I was like ima lay my verse. (I sent Sydie the record already with my 1st verse) once she sent back her chorus I finished with a second verse and outro.
3) What do you hope listeners gain from listening to the song and to you as an
artist?
AMORE: I’m tryna bring back guys actually liking women again so hopefully it’ll spark the change lol. cuz a lot of music is really aggressive with way to many imbalances. So when listeners click play on an AMORE song it should be a breath of fresh air.
4) You shot an outstanding music video for VCR, It’s vibrant, it’s bouncy and a great feel good tune . what was the creative process like making the video ?
AMORE: yo man thank u. I owe all the creative direction to my team (Aj The Alchemist & Moody) I met them at the end of 2023 and they make my job super easy. I just show up and they tell me what to do. I sent the song over to Aj and in a couple days she sent back a vision board with the entire concept. On set it was real cool it only took us 2hrs to shoot.
5) What advice would you give new creatives around the world or those who
want to pursue a career in music ?
AMORE: First and foremost l would say build a strong relationship with God because you gone need that connection to navigate in these times. You kinda gotta be a lil crazy too cuz you gotta really believe in yourself when nobody else does. Once u got that and you’re secure with yourself just work on your craft as much as you can. Be really clear on what it is you wanna accomplish. Then get your social media right & go outside and build real relationships. You will have to step outside your comfort zone to really expand your brand & become the person you wanna be.
6) Finally, What’s coming up next from you. Could we look forward to more music videos, covers and any live shows coming up ?
AMORE: Yeah I got a project called “Made In Texas” coming in 2025 so I’ll be releasing a few more singles and videos. I just had a show last night (9/4/24) man it was really cool so I’m definitely looking to hit the stage more & tour soon. Be sure to follow Amore TX on Twitter, Instagram and on his official website
