  1. Welcome Symonne, thank you for joining us, we love your single Watar. Could you tell us about how it first came about ?

SYMONNE: Thank you so much! With Watar I wanted the production to hit harder and really create a vibe that people could feel. I wanted it to be immersive, like you could get lost in the sound and emotions behind it. That idea really shaped how the song came together.

  1. What do you hope listeners take from the song, are there expectations from this release?

SYMONNE: I wanted to give listeners more insight into my personal experiences. The vulnerability in the lyrics, paired with the chilled R&B vibe and the edgy touch of 808s, creates a sound I think people will really connect with and enjoy. So I hope that people connect with the story.

3) You’ve come a long way from your early days , tell us who were some of the artists you grew up watching, did any of them inspire your current sound?

SYMONNE: I grew up listening to artists like Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, and Erykah Badu—they’ve definitely had a huge impact on me. Each of them brings something so unique to their music, whether it’s the emotion, the storytelling, or just the way they push boundaries. Their music has always inspired me to be bold and try new things. I love blending different genres and experimenting, and that’s something I feel like I picked up from watching how they approach their art.

4) Now with your current single, would you say your style has evolved and grown over time? Answer : Definitely. I think this single really captures a sound that I connect with. It feels like I’m telling a new story with a fresh sound, and that’s exciting for me. It’s been a chance to experiment with things I haven’t done before and just let the music grow naturally

5)  If you could work with any artist / producer on an album who would you work with and why ?

SYMONNE:  Right now, I’d love to work with Enny—she’s one of my favourite UK female rap artists. Her lyrics, her vibe, and the way she brings so much authenticity to her music are so inspiring. I think we’d make something really special together.

6)  Lastly, you’ve had a brilliant year so far with your work steadily rising in popularity what can your fans watch out for from you. Could you expect a live show, music videos, a  short film or something like that coming soon ?

SYMONNE: Thank you, it’s been such an amazing year, and I’m so grateful for all the support! I’ve got some new music ideas that I’m really excited to get working on soon. Details on the next project will be revealed in due time, but I promise it will be worth the wait!
